JAMES MADISON HIGH SCHOOL BAND
Located in the town of Vienna, Virginia ten miles west of Washington D.C., James Madison High School is one of the high school in the Fairfax County The James Madison Band has established a tradition of musical excellence that is recognized throughout the United States. In 1990, the John Philip Sousa Society awarded the James Madison High School Band the Sudler Flag of Honor. The Wind Symphony has performed at the National Concert Band Festival in 2008, 2003, and 1998 and has twice performed at the Mid-West Band and Orchestra Clinic. The ensemble has also made numerous appearances at music educators’ conferences and festivals– most recently as the featured performing ensemble at the 2005 Virginia Music Educator's state convention.
